Proton Terra Limited Liability Company, 43 Kőrösi Street, 5000 Szolnok, Hungary, TAX NUMBER: 27084755-2-16, COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER: 16-09-022981 (hereinafter: Data Controller) processes the data of visitors to the www.protonterra.hu website (hereinafter: Website), users of the Website, and registered users who use the services available on the Website (hereinafter collectively: Data Subject).
In connection with data processing, the Data Controller hereby informs the Data Subjects about the personal data it processes on the Website, the principles and practices followed in the processing of personal data, as well as the methods and possibilities for exercising the rights of the Data Subjects. By using the Website, the Data Subject accepts the provisions of this Privacy Policy and consents to the data processing described below.
1. Definitions
- Data Subject: any identified or identifiable natural person based on personal data, either directly or indirectly;
- Personal data: any data that can be linked to the Data Subject – in particular the name, identification number, or one or more characteristics related to their physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity – as well as any conclusion that can be drawn from such data regarding the Data Subject;
- Consent: a voluntary and explicit indication of the Data Subject’s wishes, based on adequate information, by which they give their unambiguous agreement to the processing of their personal data, either fully or for specific operations;
- Objection: a statement by the Data Subject objecting to the processing of their personal data and requesting the termination of processing or deletion of the data;
- Data controller: a natural or legal person, or an organization without legal personality, which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes of data processing, makes and implements decisions regarding data processing (including the means used), or has them carried out by a data processor on its behalf;
- Data processing: any operation or set of operations performed on data regardless of the procedure used, including collection, recording, storage, organization, modification, use, retrieval, transmission, disclosure, alignment or combination, restriction, deletion and destruction, as well as preventing further use of the data;
- Data processing (technical): the performance of technical tasks related to data processing operations, regardless of the method and tools used and the place of application, provided that the technical task is carried out on the data;
- Data processor: a natural or legal person, or an organization without legal personality, that processes data on the basis of a contract with the data controller, including contracts based on legal provisions;
- Data transfer: making data accessible to a specific third party;
- Disclosure: making data accessible to anyone;
- Data deletion: rendering data unrecognizable in such a way that its restoration is no longer possible;
- Data restriction: marking data with an identifier to limit its further processing permanently or for a specified period;
- Data destruction: the complete physical destruction of the data carrier containing the data;
- Third party: a natural or legal person, or an organization without legal personality, that is not the Data Subject, the Data Controller or the Data Processor.
2. Purpose of data processing
The Data Controller stores and processes the data provided by the Data Subject during registration solely for specific purposes, including providing services available on the Website, maintaining contact, identifying users, and, if the Data Subject subscribes to the newsletter, sending newsletters. Automatically recorded data are used for statistical purposes and for technical development of the IT system. The Data Controller does not use the provided personal data for purposes other than those specified above.
Personal data may only be disclosed to third parties or authorities with the prior explicit consent of the Data Subject, unless otherwise required by law. In all cases where the Data Controller intends to use the data for purposes other than the original purpose of collection, the Data Subject will be informed and their prior explicit consent will be obtained, or they will be given the opportunity to prohibit such use.
3. Legal basis for data processing
Data processing by the Data Controller is carried out based on the voluntary consent of the Data Subject pursuant to Section 5 (1) (a) of Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination and freedom of information (Info.tv.), as well as Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce services and certain issues of information society services.
The Data Controller does not verify the accuracy of the personal data provided. The person providing the data is solely responsible for their accuracy. By providing an email address, the Data Subject also assumes responsibility that only they use services from the given email address. Based on this responsibility, all liability related to logins from a given email address lies solely with the Data Subject who provided it.

5. Duration of data processing
5.1. Registration data
The processing of personal data provided during registration continues until the Data Subject requests the deletion of their registration. Deletion may be requested at any time (by post or email). In this case, the deadline for deletion is 5 working days from receipt of the request.
5.2. Duration of data processing
The Data Controller processes the data provided during newsletter subscription until the Data Subject unsubscribes by clicking the “Unsubscribe” button in the newsletter or requests removal from the mailing list by email or post. Otherwise, data processing lasts for 2 years. Upon unsubscription, the Data Controller records the request and will no longer send emails to the Data Subject.
5.3. Technical data
The system stores logged data – except for the date of the last visit, which is automatically overwritten – for 2 years from the time of logging.
5.4. Data provided via electronic contact form
The processing of personal data provided via the contact form continues until the Data Subject requests deletion. Deletion may be requested at any time (by post or email), and will be carried out within 5 working days from receipt of the request.
6. Scope of processed personal data
6.1. Data required during registration
To use services on the Website, the Data Subject must provide the following data:
Name, Phone number, Email, Company name, Billing address, Shipping address
6.2. Newsletter
For newsletter subscription, the Data Subject must provide their email address and full name.
6.3. Technical data
Data of the Data Subject’s device generated during use of the service and recorded automatically by the system, including date and time of visit, IP address, browser type, and the addresses of visited and previously visited websites.
These data are automatically logged without any separate action by the Data Subject upon entering or leaving the Website. These data cannot be linked to other personal user data, except in cases required by law. Only the Data Controller has access to these data.
The Data Controller may collect data on user activity that cannot be linked to registration data or data generated when using other websites or services.
The Website’s HTML code may contain links to and from external servers independent of the Data Controller. Providers of these links may collect user data due to direct connection to their servers.
External servers assist in independent measurement and auditing of website traffic and analytics (Google Analytics). Detailed information on data processing is available from the data controllers. Availability: www.google.com/analytics/
If the Data Subject does not wish Google Analytics to measure the above data, they may install a browser add-on to block it.
6.4. Cookies
The Data Controller and external service providers may place and read small data files (cookies) on the Data Subject’s device for personalized service. If the browser returns a previously saved cookie, the service provider managing the cookie may link the current visit with previous ones, but only for its own content.
The Data Controller uses the following cookies:
– Session cookies: automatically deleted after the visit. These ensure efficient and secure operation of the Website.
– Persistent cookies: stored for a longer period to improve user experience (e.g. optimized navigation).
– Cookies for password-protected sessions.
– Security cookies.

The Website uses Google Adwords remarketing tracking codes to display targeted ads on Google Display Network websites. Users can disable these cookies in Google ad settings.

7. Persons authorized to access data
The data are primarily accessible to the Data Controller and its employees, but are not disclosed or transferred to third parties.
The Service Provider may use data processors (e.g. system operators) but is not responsible for their data practices.

8. User rights and legal remedies
8.1. Right to information
The Data Subject may request information at any time about their personal data processed by the Data Controller.
The Data Controller provides information about processed data, purpose, legal basis, duration, and recipients within 30 days of request.
8.2. Right to correction, deletion, restriction
The Data Subject may request correction or deletion of incorrect data. Deletion is carried out within 5 working days. Legal retention obligations remain unaffected.
The Data Subject may also request restriction of data processing.
8.3. Right to object
The Data Subject may object to data processing. The Data Controller examines the request within 15 days.
8.4. Legal remedies
- The Data Subject may contact the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information or
- enforce their rights in court.
If the Data Subject provides third-party data or causes damage, the Data Controller may claim compensation.
9. Use of email addresses
Email addresses are used lawfully primarily for identification and communication.
10. Data security
The Data Controller ensures data security and protection against unauthorized access, alteration or destruction.
11. Other provisions
The Data Controller reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy with prior notice via the Website.
